MUA review

Items I have...

I've used a few items from MUA and was actually fairly surprised at the quality of certain products.
I've used nail polish, lipsticks, eye primer, concealer, blusher and powder.

The nail polish I would absolutely recommend I personally thought they lasted quite a long time before they chipped. The price is only £1 so if you are one to change your nails regularly I would use MUA. The colors I used are Plumb Noir, Bright Coral, Bold Blue and Pistachio Ice Cream. The only thing I would say about these nail polishes is that you have to put a couple of coats on.

The lipsticks are brilliant if you are only planning on wearing them for a short period of time. The lipsticks are only £1 so obviously they won't stay on for a long time. There is quite a wide color range for these particular lipsticks. I mainly use the red when I had dance shows or drama productions as it lasted for the whole show and it was a very cheap product. I wouldn't recommend this product if you are planning on not reapplying much throughout your day/night.

I don't often wear eyeshadow and therefor don't often use and eye primer. I thought I would try a cheap one out to see if it was any good. The MUA eye primer obviously isn't the best as it is cheap. If I am honest in my opinion it didn't do much and probably kept the eyeshadow on as long as it would without they primer. I wouldn't personally recommend this product. It's not the best thing MUA has brought out.

I really hated the concealer I bought, it didn't work for a start and it was very 'gloopy' and thick. I wouldn't recommend this product because it didn't do anything for spots I had or hide the dark circles under my eyes.

The MUA blusher I used was Mosaic Blusher English Rose, I really loved this product and have repurchased it lots. I think it is a really lovely color and stays on for a long time. However I wish they had a wider color range as that was the only color I liked. For £2.50 you can't go wrong!

I have only tried the powder once like the concealer I wasn't a fan of this product. I thought the colors were very orange and not a skin tone. I won't repurchase this product again and have now found a much better powder.

Out of the 6 MUA products I have tried I would recommend 3 things. I was pleasantly surprised as I thought I would dislike most things because of how cheap the price is. If you have used other MUA products please let me know what you thought of them.

My top 3 favourite high street/drugstore products.

Number 1: L'Oreal Superliner Perfect Slim
- I absolutely love this product! I'm not usually a fan of eyeliner as I can never find a decent one that stays on for a long time. I read and heard great reviews about this product and couldn't wait to try it. Usually I find it difficult to create a straight line with eyeliners. However this eyeliner was super easy to use and stayed on for hours. I would definitely recommend this eyeliner. The price is around £6.99 which in my opinion is a decent price.

Number 2: Collection 2000 Concealer Lasting Perfection
- I was never one to use concealer, probably because I could never find one I liked. Also because I have just left school and whilst there I didn't like to wear too much make up or draw too much attention to myself. I also didn't get many spots and my skin was always in quite good condition so I didn't feel like I needed to spend a lot of money on a decent concealer. I heard great things about this on youtube and thought I would give it ago. After trying it I realized it was such a good product and one that I was missing out on using for so long. I have repurchased this product lots. It is great for hiding away redness in the skin, I usually put this under my eyes when I have black circles and I also use it on spots. Again this is avaliable in Boots and Superdrug for around £4.19.

Number 3: Rimmel Lash Accelerator Endless Fibre Mascara
  - I actually didn't buy this product myself it was a birthday present. I hadn't heard anything about this product and wasn't sure how good it was. But I really love this product it has lasted me absolutely ages. I think it makes my eyelashes look so much longer and much more defined. It stays on throughout the day and I cannot fault it at all. I'm not sure if I like the packaging or not but overall the product is definitely something I will buy for myself. This product is the most expensive out of my top 3 at around £7.99 however it is worth it.

These products can vary in price due to sales etc. I'm not sure whether you can purchase these products in the states as I have never been unfortunately and don't know much about the make up selection out there.
